What's Your Defining Moment?

I was flipping through the MusicChoice channels on my TV recently and came across a great song on the Contemporary Christian area called "Defining Moment" by Newsong. Of course, I went straight to ITunes and downloaded it.

So, I got to thinking about defining moments in life. What were your life's defining moments? What things and circumstances led you to the place where you knew beyond any doubt that you were going to pursue a particular path in life, or you were going to live life by a set of principles that were right for you?

Now, the next question: how much did encouragement impact any of the above? I'll bet you that in many cases, someone's support or the right words at the right time might have been an important benchmark on the path of your defining moment. 

Keep that in mind as you are noticing someone that can use a little encouragement, and you're wondering if you should say anything. Your words and support could be the one thing that could bring about a defining moment for that person.
